When I met Bobo.
It was a dark and damp spring eve, fifteenth of April, as I recall. I was sitting on a bench at a local high school, to tell the truth, I was still a junior, and Bobo was a lot older, jumping ahead here. Back to the story, I just got myself a bag of Tootsie Rolls, and was enjoying them one by one, as I liked to the stickiness of a mysterious flavor, cuz it's not chocolate and it's not quite paraffin wax. The brightly lit parking lot, with most teachers cars gone, looked mysterious. The shine of the asphalt, shadows from the trees with bare branches, all seemed at a stand still.
Faint rolling sound was coming my way, little wheels, a skate board I guessed, looking towards the spot of where sound was coming from. On the dim lit street, towards me was appearing a person, gliding picking up one foot after the other. Wearing roller skates, like from that crazy Xanadu movie, I just seen clipets to tell you the truth. A tall ,handsome guy of about seventeen years, was skating towards me. My first thought, that he forgot he's homework, and lived close by, so he could roller skate to get it. He was getting a lot more that night.
Coming up the curb the guy stumbled and fell, not hard or nothin', but I quickly got up to check if he was all right. He was looking at his knee, as I asked" Is it bad?", looking up at me, the guy smiled. "Not to worry, will heal in a couple of days, thanx". "My name is Bracken, and your's?".
To be continued...
